The Engineering Art of Injecting Cyber Security in Critical Infrastructures
Samuel Linares is Senior Lead Technologist within Booz Allen Hamilton’s Industrial Cybersecurity practice. In this role, he draws on more than two decades of experience in the fields of security, system integration, telecommunications and international project management to advice a wide range of public and private sector clients. A leading advocate of the Industrial Cybersecurity concept, Mr. Linares is recognized as a subject-matter expert and engages on the topic in various capacities, including as project leader, speaker and teacher in more than 25 countries world-wide.
Complementing his extensive career with Booz Allen Hamilton, Mr. Linares is also the founder and coordinator of the Industrial Cybersecurity Center for the MENA region, as well as Security Evaluator at the European Commission. In addition, he is a member of multiple organizations including the European Network and Information Security Agency’s Industrial Control Systems and Smart Grid Cybersecurity Stakeholders Group, ISACA’s Global Cybersecurity Task Force and the Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional certification International Steering Committee. Mr. Linares holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Oviedo and is University Specialist in Data Protection at the Colegio Universitario Escorial Maria Cristina, Madrid. Adding to his qualifications, Mr. Linares holds a variety of cybersecurity certifications including GICSP, CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, GAWN, GSNA, ISO 27001 and ISO 22301 Lead Auditor, along with other vendor-specific technical qualifications.
